Families can be together forever

This last saturday Scott and I had the opportunity to see the Wallace Family sealed in the Bountiful temple.  Scott meet the Wallace's as a missionary in Neosho, Missouri and although Missouri is their "home", they currently live in Clearfield, Ut.

As we witnessed this beautiful family in the sealing room I couldn't help but think that "this is why we do missionary work".  We invite others to Come unto Christ and enter the waters of baptism so that as families we can return to live with God.

About a year and a half ago I had the opportunity to see the Steigmeirs, a family that I worked with as a missionary in New York, sealed in the Palmyra temple.  There is not a sweeter experience for a missionary than seeing those that they loved and taught sealed as a family by the holy Priesthood in the Temple.

I hope that each of us has the opportunity to be with our families in the temple, so that we too can feel of God's love for us as families and individuals.

Are you feeling Lucky?

Are you feeling lucky enough to win?

here it is...

The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me.

My choice.

Just for you.

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make.
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It'll be done before summer
4- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a dance. It may be a photo or picture frame. I may sew or paint something. If you are lucky I may bake you something. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange...but that is unlikely!

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must re-post this on your own blog and offer the same deal to 5 of your own lucky blog readers. So, the first 5 people to leave a comment telling me they are in, win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it. The end.

By the way...for all you blog stockers, feel free to enter to win! Don't be shy! Just make sure I know how to get your gift to you!! Spread the love...and feel a little Irish luck!!

Some possible items to win:

Disneyland!

We are always up for an adventure....especially with friends.

So when Dave and Kristin Johnson called us on a Sunday wanting to know if we were up for a trip to California that weekend...we just couldn't resist.

We stayed with my best friend Brittney in Vegas on Thursday night after a 9 hour drive from SLC in the snow and ice. We enjoyed hanging out with her beautiful girls and a delicious breakfast before continuing our drive to LA.

After picking up Dave and Kristin at the Airport we enjoyed the evening with some crepes and shopping on 3rd Street.

Saturday, Valentine's Day, we went to Disneyland and California Adventure...so romantic and truly the perfect Valentine's Date!

Sunday we went to church at the Anaheim third ward, the Holocust Museum and then headed up to Thousand Oaks to spend time with our friends the Bryan's.

With the Bryan's we enjoyed a fabulous pot roast dinner, lots of chippers (chocolate chip cookies), a very rain day of golf, plenty of Phineas & Ferb, and lots of mexican train.

Of course our trip was not complete until Scott endulged in some amazing ribs from Playoffs in Mesquite, NV.

(thanks Modie....for letting us crash at your apartment! We love you)
